HYPERMODERN PHOTOBOOTH
The Hypermodern Photobooth is an interactive photobooth that uses a kinect to do live background subtraction in any lighting. Using a simple push button interface, people can compose images with multiple layered elements and composite themselves in.
People who step in front of the camera can choose a background, special effect, and scene partner by pushing arcade buttons, then adjust the composition of the image using a joystick. They then pose, and push a big button to instantly capture the image. The image appears on an overhead monitor for everyone to see, photograph and share. It’s also automatically uploaded to a site where it’s immediately available to be downloaded and shared.
Software was written in C++ with openFrameworks.
